Physics 2 Laboratory

Laboratory Manual for Physics 2 - Applied Physics aims to develop familiarity with the experimental method of scientific investigation and provide practical knowledge necessary for a well-rounded understanding of Physics. This laboratory manual is intended for use in a one-semester course.

The instructions for each experiment include some basic theory on the phenomenon to be investigated and a description of the procedure to be used. An orientation and instrumentation of the procedure and apparatus or equipment is done by the instructor for every three experiments.

After every six to nine experiments performed, a practical examination will be conducted. Then a periodical examination follows. Therefore, the students are encouraged to read and study the procedure before the scheduled laboratory class.

The student is required to submit a written report in each experiment. The written report includes data collection, sample computations or calculations, graph, observations, conclusion, and answers to the questions. It is hoped that the student will learn by performing the experiment described in this manual.
